9 Dangers of The Public Auction System.

  1. The Failed Auction Stigma. When an auction fails it means the bidding price did not reach the reserve price, which is the Sellers minimum sale price.   2. Upfront Costs. An auction can cost between $4,000 and $12,000. This is a serious amount to lose if your property does not sell.
